My Adventures (and Misadventures) in DIY

“Creativity is contagious.  Pass it on.” -Albert Einsten

While my grand hopes and dreams for this blog is that someday it will inspire someone to pick up a paint brush, hot glue gun, canvas, or any host of items used to create, I am happy just to be able to blend two of the passions that I have: writing and crafting.  I have always loved writing.  I had a blog in high school, and though it was more of an angsty, feelings-fueled blog, I reveled in being able to write.  Crafting has been a fairly consistent passion of mine as well. Although I dabbled in high school, my wedding is partially what spurred this endeavor.  DIY’ing decorations for my wedding along with moving into my first non-college apartment (complete with bare walls) sparked an interest in this hobby.  Don’t get me wrong, I am no expert.  Really.  Half the time I’m not even sure how much like what I’ve created until I’ve shown it to other people and gotten second (and third…and fourth…) opinions.  And I won’t pretend that all of my ideas are original.  In fact, most of them aren’t.  Pinterest is a beautiful thing, people.  So whether you’re looking for ideas or just happened to stumble upon the account of my adventures (and misadventures) in DIY, I hope you enjoy!  Feel free to comment, give feedback, or give ideas.  I’m always on the lookout for a good craft!
