  • Send a piece of wood using heavy paper first, then a good crack to get it out easily. Do not sand the bark. Clean, then coat the front, back, and sides with clear varnish. Locate a piece of wood in the back of the picture and cut it out. Peel a squash, grate it and place it face down on a piece of wood. Press the wet towel to transfer. After a minute, peel the photo and watch the photo move on the wood. Use wet towels to clean any incomplete edges. Pieces of wood, also called wood cookies, can be used for a variety of projects to add a rustic look and feel. When they dry, the moisture evaporates, and the wood shrinks, causing the slices to break.
